Patriotic Employer Award Presented to NEFSC Safety Branch Chief
Jack Emberg recognized for supporting reserve participation
Jack Emberg, NEFSC's facility operation and safety branch chief, has been honored as a "Patriotic Employer" by the Office of the Secretary of Defense for supporting employees who serve as members of the National Guard and Reserve force.
Joe Finnegan, NEFSC's safety and environmental compliance officer, is a long-time member of the U.S. Army National Guard Reserves. Finnegan nominated Emberg, his supervisor, for supporting his participation in the reserves and recently presented him with the award certificate.
The National Committee for Employer Support for the Guard and Reserves, or ESGR, is a Department of Defense volunteer organization established in 1972 to recognize employers who support and share their employees with the nation to ensure national security.
