NOAA Ship ALBATROSS IV Shipboard Diving

Albatross IV has five certified NOAA SCUBA divers
who conduct routine maintenance and repair to the
underside of the ship. Each import the shipboard
divers enter the water and inspect the: Kort
Nozzle, Propeller, Transducers, Bow Thruster,
Intakes, and Zinc Anodes.

The Albatross IV is fitted with several transducers
and temperature probes. The transducers and
probes must be kept clean from marine life
for accuracy. The divers will inspect
each sensor and provide the proper
maintenance required.
